Manicure Program Outline
Course Objective:
The curriculum includes (600) clock hours. Technical instruction shall include demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, and examination. Practical operations shall mean the actual performance by the student of the complete service to another person.
Education Goal:
It is designed to prepare students for the State Board licensing examination, this examination determines the individuals’ basic skills for entry-level positions in the “Beauty Industry”. The training provided will prepare the graduate with the knowledge and skills needed to pass the State Board Examination and if desired, pursue an entry-level, as a manicurist specialist, nail artist, nail salon manager, or nail salon owner.

- 20 Weeks- 30 hours per week
- 27 Weeks- 23 hours per week
Requirements for Maintaining Satisfactory Progress:
- Maintain a 76% Cumulative Attendance Rate.
- Maintain a 76% Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA)
93 – 100 EXCELLENT
85 – 92 VERY GOOD
76 – 84 SATISFACTORY
75 and BELOW UNSATISFACTORY PROGRESS
Admission Requirements:
Documents Required for Admissions:
- All students must be at least 17 years old
- A Social Security card
- $100.00 nonrefundable Application fee
- Provide one of the following: unexpired Driver’s License or ID, Permanent Resident Card (Green Card), or Passport.
- High School Diploma (HSD) or GED.
- All foreign credentials must be translated into English, verified as a student’s high school diploma performed by an outside agency and confirm the academic equivalent to a U.S High School diploma.
- Complete the Paris Academy of Beauty school enrollment applications.
